Hi, I have a problem where I need to update an Access database from Ms Excel.

I have chosen to use an ADODB connection as I'm familiar with writing SELECT statements and accessing data this way.

I want to enter data in those fields and have them write that data to my db (mssql using sqlsrv driver). Here's my form processor (only set up to update quantity (qnty) at the moment): require_once 'dbconnect.php'; $partno = $_POST["partno"]; $qnty = $_POST["qnty"]; $sql = 'UPDATE West Dev DB SET Location Qty = $_POST["qnty"]'; $result = sqlsrv_query($conn,$sql) or die(sqlsrv_errors()); $qnty = $_POST["qnty"]; //sanitize $qnty ( ! ) $sql = "UPDATE West Dev DB SET Location Qty = ( ?

Hi all, Up until a few days ago I knew absolutely nothing about SQL servers, but needed to be able to add entries onto one (it contains jobs done by engineers). I need to be able to update/change existing records rather than adding new ones? The problem is I'm not sure where to use a ADODB.command or an ADODB.
